REAR WIPER STOPED WORKING V70-XC70 1999

I have a 1999 V70.. recently the rear wiper stopped working.. It did this breifly oonce about a year ago and then worked again like nothing had happened.. this time it is not doing so.. we have popped the inside of the door off to check for loose harnesses, but I am beggining to think the wiper motor is toast.. any input?

REAR WIPER STOPED WORKING V70-XC70 1999

The V70s do have a problem in salty conditions. The post that goes through the door and connects to the motor binds on corrosion. Remove the motor, oil the post, and try moving the wiper blade. If it is sticky or hard to move, add more oil and keep working it until it moves freely. Put it back in the parked position before putting the motor back on.
Do NOT run the motor while it is not connected to the wiper. You will ruin the memory of the park position.

If the motor is not getting voltage, it could be a break in the wiring harness as it goes past the hinge.
