rear wiper stopped working V70-XC70 1999

the rear wiper in my dad's 1999 v70 stopped working.. this happened once before and started working again after opening and closing the rear door.. any input.. I think its just a loose plug or something like that..

I'd start by looking at the wiring harness to the door. It's been previously reported on this forum that the wiring harness can fail after numerous flexes over time. If this is happening, it will be the 1st of many other problems you may encounter.
