Fuel delivery problem S70 1999

I am having intermittent problems with my car stalling out. It sems to be starved for fuel for a couple seconds, and then it runs ok again. Each time it stalls out, I can hear what sounds to be a relay under the dash kicking in and out. Please tell me it is not the fuel pump. It is 700.00 to purchase.

    Fuel delivery problems come from the pump, filter, or pump relay. Take your pick. The filter should have been replaced at 90K miles.

      just replaced the filter. Where is the pump relay located?

        If they haven't relocated from 1998, it is under the fuse tray in the engine compartment. Relay # is 103. Search for fuel pump relay and get info about how to jump it and fix it.
