ABS removal blues V70-XC70 2000

Good afternoon all, I'm curious if any one has had trouble removing the connector from the ABS mobule? I have taken the cover off the connector but can't budge the connector at all! The connector, according to Vic Rocha's site, simply plugs in to the ABS module I have pulled on this firmly but to no avail. Any ideas. Thanks, Mike

I just removed mine the small plug pulls straight up and the large one when you flip that black plastic cover all the way to the left should allow you to just pull the wires up just as easy as a fuse comes out of the fuse box. I think you have to swing that cover all the way open first.

As I recall (it's been awhile), I had to remove the air box to get access, and then the connection is by a lever that you pull up on to get the connector out. Sure hope I'm not giving bad info, perhaps someone has done this more recently than I have.

Thanks Jerry, You are correct. The cover acts as a levered hinge that releases a set of prongs that lock the connector in place. My mistake was not understanding this initially.Any way it's off now and the ABS mod. is on it's way to Vic Rocha for repair. Thanks for your help,Mike

Glad to hear you were successful and that you are using Victor. He does excellent work at a reasonable price. Mine has been fault free for almost 20K miles since he fixed mine.

        Jerry
