Hi folks:
I am looking at a possible purchase of a 2001 V40 with low mileage.
I was hoping to gain some insight from current/past owners. Any advice?
Also, a big question here: are there any transmission issues with the '01 V40's? After reading about the V70 tranny issues I want to make sure I don't wind up heading down a similar path.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to really look over the breaks and suspension bits. my brother just bought a 2001 s40 and within a day the rear calipers froze and the suspension noise is terrible. a good site to use is Carsurvey.org good luck!

Hi, have experience of low mileage ie. below 100kkm v40-2002 5gear automate with B4204T3 low pressure 2L engine. One O2 sensor replacemaant due to short city driving, transmission flushed once. not the best fuel economy in city but quite nice power and driving.
