I'm not sure what the previous owner did with it, but everything that's supposed to lead into the filter box is just not there. Searching online has only yielded 2000 and before models which from what I've seen the setup looks different.

If anyone can help me out here it would be greatly appreciate. It's either that or fabbing up something, which I'd rather not bother with.

Might need to get it from a dealer. I order all my dealer items from BostonVolvo, they are the lowest cost dealer parts department I've found. They are very helpful btw.

Yeah I was worried about that. The Dealers here in central Texas are insane for what they want for parts like that. Looks like I'll be fabbin something up =D

Before fabbing something up or buying something new, how about looking in a salvage yard?

The part you're looking for is the flat intake piece, from the front grill to the side of the air box, right?

Or if you can't find one near your or don't want to deal with searching yourself, these options may work. Both are salvage yards who serve a lot of volvos. I personally have never dealt with either, but have read of a TON of people on other volvo forums who highly respect both of these outfits. I am not affiliated in any way with either.
