If you look at your maintenance book in the glove compartment, note that it doesn't go over 100K miles. Most folks don't keep their cars that long, and if they do, they won't take it to the dealer for service.
Brake fluid and antifreeze last a long time in aluminum engines, but both do need to be flushed because of natural contaminates. You only need 1 gallon of antifreeze and a quart of brake fluid. The dealer charges around $17 for antifreeze which you could probably buy at the autoparts store for $10. Remember, most American cars still use iron blocks, so that is what the antifreeze is geared for. You need one for cast aluminum, otherwise the block will become porus and leak. For piece of mind, I just give a donation to the Dealer and not worry about it.
Tranny fluid is a different matter. The newer cars use synthetic fluid, Mobile 3309, which lasts much, much longer than the old ATF. Unless you are towing a trailer or driving in city traffic for 50K miles, the tranny fluid should still be good for 100K. If you DIY, it will take 12 quarts of 3309 to flush. That's close to $80 just for the fluid.
And don't forget your power steering fluid!
