CD Player HU 803 wont eject CD Error code

My CD player HU-803 seems to have a jammed CD. The unit will not play the CD and when eject is pushed it "clicks" the display shows "CD Error." In prior years I easily pulled my 850 head unit and exchanged it. Can this unit be pulled and the CD removed? Can the unit be exchanged for a remanufactured? Or does this need to be managed by my dealer? Thank you!

CD Player HU 803 wont eject CD Error code

Does anyone have an answer to this question? I have the same condition on my HU 803. I loaded 3 CD's (regular commercial music CD's) and played them over a two day period while on a trip. Upon my return, I attempted to eject the CD's. When I pushed the eject button, the screen said "Ejecting" and then displayed "CD Error". Now I can't change anything when the source is CD. It won't change to another CD, won't eject, won't play.......nothing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

The unit in my wife`s `03 XC70 does this from time to time. I have no idea what causes this issue as we play both commercial CDs & others with no problems. What has worked for me tho` it`s a pain is to just keep hitting "Eject". Sometimes it takes a minute, sometimes 5 minutes but always works. After that the player works fine for quite awhile until the next time.
Sorry I can`t offer any real remedy.
      Rich
