Heater Core Issues 99 V70 AWD

Hello
Anytime I turn the heater on I see a fine mist comming out of the passanger side vents. also the passanger side of the winshield fogs up. There is alos a smell of coolant. I have noticed any coolant loss? Any ideas what is goign on? Do I need to replace the heater core? If so is there instructions posted anywhere? Thanks

It is leaking. It doesn't take a lot of antifreeze to fog up the glass. Read this:

That should help a lot. It is not a difficult job, just make sure you get some replacement O rings to go with the new core.

Have you replaced your cabin filter lately?

The fuel filter for my 1998 AWD is above the passenger side rear axle. Access is gained by removing the panel in the cargo deck area and then taking off the access plate. Is is a small PITA, but do able.

Bevel gear fliud can be siphoned out. Best bet is using a MightyMac pump that is sold at NAPA. Just measure the fluid that is pumped out and replace that same amount with new. Just about 3/4 quart.
