Hi All,

I have a 96 850 with the driver side wiper
moter continuously running and making a loud whining noise.
I had the headlight out and cant find the power source for the
wiper moter.
Is there a plug OR a fuse that can be disconnected ?

    Not a fuse, it controls other things also. Just reach down and pull the wire off the motor. Try to time it so it is in the "rest" position.
    The driver's side is easy, the passengerside is impossible to replace.

    Yes, You can unplug the wiper motors. An easy and satisfying fix. I went ahead an completely removed mine, after they both went out, and didn't seem worth fixing. (especially since the wipers get mangled here in the city) Follow where the wiper shaft would point to and that's the motor, then unplug the white connector that leads to the motor. Try to tuck the leads in somewhere so they don't dangle too wildly.
    PS It's a pain to get the motors out, I ended up breaking mine, so I can't imagine it's very easy to install new ones without taking major things apart.
