Error 2-3-2 850

does anybody Know hot to go about tracing oddball error code
2-3-2 long term fuel trim at limits at idle????
Every time i get the code and i clear it i hear a wirring noise coming from the intake area..like a isv or something..its very strange because when im Clearing the code this noise comes on..and then when i start the car the first time after i've cleared the code it does not want to idle well at all..it bogs down and the idle get into the 500rpm range..after maybe 1min of this the car will run just fine thereafter..but sometime the next day the code comes back..and it all starts over i clear the code i hear that wirring noise and the car does not want to idle right after i clear the code..
Im kinda at a loss,
HELP..
1995 volvo 855 T5 w 225k miles AT

And 2-3-2 is the ONLY code i get and the car seems to run fine otherwise except for when i start the car the first time after i've cleared the code

Hey guys sorry to bring this back but..further developments..
The short is it still the same..and i have changed the fuel filter, checked all the hoses including the ones under the mani..ISV was spotless and not stuck..kinda at a loss the next could be the intercooler leaking i guess.
but klaus i looked closer and no that noise that happens when i clear the code is not the ISV, the isv is indeed always on with the ignition on the II position..what seems to happen is that the fuel pump cycles on?!?!?! for that pre start lill thing it does..
but its very odd i dont know why it does that when i clear the codes.
Is there any way to check the intercooler with it still in the car?..and i dont know of anyone that has a intake smoke machine around there parts.. (washington dc)

I had this code come and go for a year or so. I cleaned up and tightened all the vacuum lines, cleaned throttle body, IAC, etc. Code did not come back. I don't know which (if any) of the things I attended to (or a combination) led to the code. Whatever vacuum losses or unmetered air were present were small but they can add up over the 3 minute or so measuring period for this code.

If you haven't already, it is past time to get new vacuum lines and elbows. That noise you hear is the idle air control motor, it is supposed to always be on when the key is in pos II. Check the hoses on both ends of the IAC and make sure they are not leaking.
Don't forget the vacuum hose elbow at the intake manifold close to, behind the power steering pump.

      Thanks klaus.
All these hoses are new, i switched all my hoses to silicone ones..well all the big ones too, and i put in an new air/oil separator with all new hoses as well.
So could it just be the ide stabalizer going out? but ill check all the smaller vacuum hoses.

When I cleaned out my IAC last spring, it was totally black! It is a wonder it even worked at all. I used TB cleaner and a toothbrush - every time I go to the dentist they give me a new brush for my tool box :)
