"I thought they might be 8 ohm. But, all the repacement 4 & 5" have an Impedence of 4 ohm... I'm not sure how that would work if the rest of the speakers are 8 ohm.... "
Simply put, it won't. Your rear door and deck speakers are wired in parallel, so the amp sees a 4 ohm load (2 8 ohm loads in parallel = 4 ohms). If you replace the 8 ohm speakers with 4 ohm, the amp sees 2 ohms. This is so very close to a short circuit that the amp will, at a minimum be very distorted. More likely, the output transistors in the amp will be toast.
To retain the 8 speaker set up, you need an aftermarket amp capable of successfully driving a 2 ohm load. Such an amp will likely go in the trunk, meaning that all your speaker wires have to be redone for the new amp location.
It will, however, sound a whole lot better if you do replace all the speakers and get the amp. The cost of doing this explains why I still have all the factory speakers in mine.
A boneyard is your best source for a single replacement speaker.
Good luck.
