04 s60 glove box rattle S60

I recently purchased an 04 s60 2.5t awd. I am very pleased with the car so far, but the glove box does not latch securely and causes an annoying rattle while traveling on less than perfect roads.

Can some one tell me if there is an easy fix for this,is this a common problem?

Strange to hear that even in the later model years this still is a problem. In my MY2001 I used silicone spray which solved the problem.

Some of us with "older" cars have glued a penny to the door, where the button for the glove box light makes contact. Keeps the light from staying on and draining the battery.
The previous owner must have either had a full glove box, or hung a bottle holder from it.
