Misfiring engine 850 1997

My engine has been kind of misfiring lately. I am not sure how to describe it , but it looks like one of the cylinders just “stops” working for very, very brief moment. It is not a lot but you feel it. It is not consistent. It does not happened all the time and in random frequencies and I can feel it only when on idle ( I am waiting or red light). I do not feel it at all when I am driving. Sparkplugs has been replaced (I put original Volvo) 3 months ago, rotor and cup 2 week ago. Fuel pump 1 year ago. Does anybody experience anything like that. Any known issues. As always thank you very much for any suggestions and help.

When the engine is completely warmed up and it is dark outside, open the hood and see if you see any arcing at the plug wires. Why didn't you change the wires when you replaced the rotor and cap?

Thank you Klaus. I have 98K on my Volvo and I heard that wires can last over 100K miles, but I guess I will give a try since I am going to keep a car and they need to be changed anyway. Thanks for your help.

And I just replaced my wires, cap and rotor at 153K. The rotor was just about shot, the cap was good, and the wires were just 10 years old.

I replaced the wires today, but I guess I found what might have been the problem. I re-examined my spark-pugs which I replaced not so long ago. One of them had a big cracks on porcelain part. A piece of porcelain was even chipped. I do not how that happened. I guess I must have done something wrong while replacing them. So I put back one of my "old" not cracked ones. I will see if that will make any difference.
