Instrument Panel Power Lost S80 2000

I gave the G80-T6 a jump start (the approved way). Started up after a while but the instrument panel including trip computer and fuel/temp gauge are all not working. The only light that is on is "engine check", which I think is usually on anyway. Nothing else on the instrument panel works.

Checked the fuses in the driver's compartment and engine compartment all seem fine. Couldn't figure out which fuse serves this area anyway, so checked them all, except the ones in the trunk.

Car starts and runs fine, just no display. As an aside, I'm still on the original factory battery in the car when I piched it up at the factory delivery center in 1999.

Thanks

The computer module does need replacing $940 for the part. IPD says that it probably has to be from Volvo because it is matched to the VIN of the car. Any alternatives?

If I remember correctly, the S80 has a computer module to work the dash. It may have been "fried" with the jump start.
You "5" year battery lasted 9 years. About time for a new one. If you jump your car with more than 17V, it could have terrible results.
The check engine light should not be on if the car is running!

I still miss my 164 and my 854T. Just driving a V70R :)

Thanks Klaus -- The check engine light does go away after the car starts. It was just noticable because nothing else on the panel worked.
