I recently purchased a climate control unit for my '94 850turbo. However, the unit will not operate in auto mode when the control is slid to the extreme left. The unit though, will operate when the key is is in the accessory position and the rec.and ac. light will flash for about 20 secs. Is there anything I must do in order to get the unit to operate properly? i.e. work in auto mode upon demand? Helpful answers will be much appreciated.

Check the trouble codes in box B-1. You may want to scan all of the errors and try to erase them all first.
When the lights blink, the ECC unit will not function in auto mode.
