tracs light on, no speedo, flashing arrow, CEL 850 1995

I just bought another 95 850 with a blown engine. non turbo, Replaced the engine, while it was out, drained & refilled the auto trans. The new enging fired right up and runs smooth. Not I notice the tracs light is alwas on, and no speedometer. After driving a few hundred feet, the arrow starts flashing, then the CEL comes on. OBDII says "vehicle speed sensor A" had one lying around, put it in, and same problem. could they both be bad, or what else could be causing the problem? I also tried swapping the 2 computers under the hoos by the right fender with the ones from my other 95 850 GLT, no difference, same problems! Any and all suggestions will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Thanks in advance, Warren

Did you have occasion to remove main connectors under the instrument panel? After replacing a/c evap I had multiple symptoms similar to yours (tho not exacty the same) and found one of the big connectors wasn't reseated well.

Hi, and thanks for the input! I myself haven't been under the drivers side of the dash, only removed the glove box to get the number off of the keyless entry module. But, ther has been an afternarket stereo installed by one of the previous owners, so I will definately check that out!

THANKS!! Warren
