Hi,
Lately i am having difficulty w/my shifting. More often than not i need to push the shift lock button so i can shift. Does this mean the shift lock is bad. How do you fix or change it?
Tried doing the ratcheting stuff but to no avail.

There is a microswitch under the center console that goes bad. A good writeup on how to fix it is in Bay 13:
