Doorlock motor V70-XC70 2000

Hi, Unless you visit "Opinions" you won't know me on this forum as I'm a Brit with a V70Tdi (non-US of course) but, currently, the UK forum is closed and my problem is generic to all models probably, so I'm hoping someone can help me. Car is a classic shape (one of the last) with stock remote central locking. The driver's door lock motor operates when the remote is pressed and the button moves up as normal, but the lock remains locked. The key is needed to unlock it. Turning the key doesn't seem to move the button any further so I'm guessing there's some internal issue with the lock mechanism. I've removed it but can't see anything obvious. The remote re-locks the lock. Anyone experienced this? Regards.

If the key works the lock, then it is the lower actuator lever that is no longer pushing on the door lock. The fact that the button pops up with the motor is good news. It might be that the upper part of the arm pushed by the motor has fallen off or caught by a broken/loose window channel guide.
Does the door rattle when you close it? Fix the rattle and the lock will be OK again.

Thanks Klaus, I'll check it again at weekend when I've time(!). I'm not certain how / which of the levers should be linked but I'll try to figure it out. Regards.
