how do disconnect fuel line connections 850

Hello, I have a 1996 Volvo 855 lpt. the fuel pump died the other day and I need to replace it, just got one from a wrecked S70 car but I had problems with the fuel lines, the pump is alloceded in the fueltank, where it accessed througt a hole in the floor, that works quite well, but the fuel lines are a problem that I cant find out how they are disconnected, and they are made out of plastic and rubber and I am afraid to experiment, (on the s70 I simple cut the lines) .... So does anyone know how do disconnect them so that they can be reused? pictures would be great, but any help is welcome.

To add to Ken's reply, they are reusable. They are a pain to get off, but they slip back on very easily. Nifty I think.

    Good luck!

Just replaced the fuel pump in my '96 855 yesterday.

Just took two, flat-bladed screwdrivers and pried-up on the outer edges of the connector. Once the outer shell starts moving, the connector pops-off pretty easily.
