One of my brake lights burned out today, no big deal. BUT, when I pulled out the bulb holder, the yellow turn signal bulb had the yellow flaking off!! No wonder my wife said that the turn signals are too bright at night.

aren't the lenses yellow/amber also? i think all of my bulbs are clear. i definately notice the glow in my rearviews at night when the blinker is on.

and whats too bright these days? every kid that gets a loan for his subwoofer and new rims is also putting hi wattage HID headlamps in his 92 horsepower tic-tac and blinding me with his flipping low-beams pointed up in my rearview. oy! (sorry for the rant)

yep, my 98 bulbs lost their yellow coating years ago. I think I replace the originals in about 01 or 02. the replacements have not lost the yellow. my lenses are opaque clear.
