2004 S80 Trunk Unlocks While Driving S80

My 2004 S80 2.9 will experience the trunk unlocking while driving but occasionally while it's parked. The only way to keep it locked is to turn on the valet button. Fuse is fine. The rest of the central locking system functions fine. Any one else experience this failure?

Currently own:
2004 S80 110K Mi.
1996 960 300K Mi.
1993 940 315K Mi.

    I currently have the same problem. I also used to be able to open the trunk without the remote or key as long as the doors were unlocked but that is not working. I go out in the morning and the trunk is open. I called the dealership and they said the lock may not be working but I have to make an appt to have it looked at.

      Guys my problem was i could not open my trunk..the cable to the lock, this is the black cable on the leftside of the trunk lid, had an open wire, i repaired it with some wire and solder..Maybe the ground wire on yours is touching another wire within the bundle and this will open the lid..meter your cable for shorts and opens..disconnect the cable at both ends, and check with a meter, it only takes about 30 minutes to check and disconnect,,,good luck
