fuel injector question 850 1997

I pulled my fuel railing the other day and noticed that one of the injectors had a disintegraded fiber washer, at least it appeared to be fiber or some type of plastic.

In comparing the injector with others the washer is located below the bottom o-ring. Can these plastic type washers be replaced or do I have to get a new injector?

Washers can be replaced. The local Volvo dealer MAY have them, but will try to sell you the entire injector. Call Ford, tell them the color of the injector and they just might have the part on hand. The turbo injectors are the same sa Mustang V8s.

      1) do the 850's all have the same injectors?
      2) i thought the injectors had an "O" ring, do they also have a fiber washer?

thanks for the ford referral too.

Turbos and NAs are different flow rates, at least for the R models. The term O ring is really a washer.
