94 850 Turbo Wagon Abrupt Shift

I'm considering purchasing this vehicle. The shift between 1st and 2nd under hard acceleration is fairly abrupt. I have NA 98 S70 and 00 V70 that both shift very smoothly under all conditions. Is this normal for a 94 Turbo or a sign that there might be a pending trainsmission problem?

It might very well be a tranny problem, check the fluid for scorching. Also check the engine/tranny mounts, on may have failed.
My 1995 shifts pretty hard from 1st to 2nd at full throttle. I just no longer do that :)

The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are a 95 854T and a 98 V70R :)
