Is it possible to clean the pcv system, including the oil separator, with an additive like Seafoam? I know that some will think, "Well if there was, I sure as Hell would be using it!" Nevertheless, I would like to hear some thoughts on this.

There are previous posts on "seafoam". It's a mixture of alcohol, naphtha, and light oil. Are you sure you want to put a foreign substance into your car's engine?

Seafoam is good, but not good enough to clean up that hardened mess. It get like a rock in there and nothing will clean it out. Except elbow grease and a screwdriver.

Be prepared to clean out the throttle body and the Idle Air Control at the same time.
