Hi,

Did Volvo produce any black grills for the Volvo 850? They appear to be mostly chrome. I thought I've seen a black one before, but I guess someone could have painted a chrome one. I know IPD makes a mesh style black one, but I'd like to find an OEM one with the Volvo emblem on it.

OEM grills are all chrome. Only after market are black, a couple of hours with black electrical tape???

No way, sand it, prime it paint it semi gloss bumper paint black. I did the grill and all of the trim (96), mirrors trim, mud flaps, blacked out the emblems. Car look better then any other one out there. As long as you do a good prep on all the parts, the paint will last. Been 7 months, still looks new.
