Limp Home Mode I Think V70-XC70 2000

My wife's car has appeared to go in to 'limp home mode'. Car idles just like it should in P and N, but when I shift the car into gear there is a noticable change in engine performance. When I shift into gear and push the accelerator it begins to stumble and appears to be missing. I did just change the timing belt a couple of weeks ago and plugs were changed a few months ago. I did not change the plug wires at the time though. I really don't think that there is any ignition issue since I would more than likely notice this when I start the car.

This stumble just came out of nowhere. Wife drove to the grocery store...all was fine. She came out of the grocery store to drive home and the problem began. Nothing leaking...nothing smells burnt. O2 sensors are fine, breather filter and cabin air filter are relatively new and clean. I had the ETM software upgrade done a few years ago and the ABS module has been repaired.

I know everyone is going to say "Get the codes", but this just happened last night (Friday) and haven't wanted to drive it away from the parking lot where it now sits for fear of damaging something.

Any help is much appreciated.
