small amount of white exhaust S70 1998

Well I went and stuck my neck out by buying a used S70 86000 miles,(non turbo), from a used car dealer in Tampa. I had a guy stop by and give me a report only to say it smoked white exhaust at start up pretty good but after running some time it went away. Yesterday, it was started and just smoke a bit and stopped so I'm attributing it from sitting and condensation. Next week I pick it up and drive it back home to Ohio.

Hope all goes well.

Use a magic marker to mark the level of the antifreeze. Then get the oil and filter changed as soon as you get home. Lets hope that you only have a quart of water in the exhaust system :)

I got your email. To my knowledge, these 70 series cars don't have a problem with salt and rust. When you get back home to OH, there should be no more water in the exhaust system!!
Relax, and get your blood pressure back down. So long as the AC works in 80 degree weather, enjoy having it on. This weekend will be down close to zero in northern OH. Have fun on the beach and easy on the ice cream.
