Basic repair manual stuff S60 2004

My Volvo is approaching the 60,000 mark and I want to start doing some routine maintenance myself. For example my 2 12v plugs quit working a few months back, likely from a cell phone charger, and I figure it's a fuse, but where do I find a fuse diagram? The one on the lid wasn't much help.

Also I took it to a big box store and they refused to change the oil, saying it was an "internal filter" and they didn't have the part. I've seen pix of the S80 and how to change the oil filter. Is it the same or are they full of it?

Where's the best basic repair manual? I've tried 2 of those DVD things on eBay and they both failed to install.

Thanks.

You are correct about 1 fuse for both cigarette lighters. It's in there somewhere!
Your oil filter is the new cartrige type and NEVER us a quick oil change chain!! The inserts can be purchased at FCPGroton or IPD. To get the oil filter cannister off requires a wrench, both of my cars still have the old style filter.

The VADIS dvd/cd is a pirated version which require you to reset the date on your PC to sometime in the past during install, before the copyright date. There are no more paper manuals.
You could subscribe to AlldataDIY.com for $25/year and they have most everything you need. Or, your public library may already have alldata access.
