best/cheapest way of turning serpentine belt tensioner? 850 1997

So they decided to put a 1" square opening on my 850 serpentine belt tensioner? What was wrong with the 1/2" ones they used before? What is the cheapest way to make a 1" square thing to move it? I don't have a welder...

Thanks!

I broke an old file into a piece that was several inches long, stuck it in the hole and then used vise grips to turn the file. Extremely tough metal and totally useless as a file so I gave it a new life.
Hope this doesn't post three times like the other day!

The same thing came up a couple of days ago on another board. The solution was to tape two pennies on opposing sides of a 1/2" drive ratchet.

      Now there's a solution I like!

Good thoughts all, and thanks...I'm sure I could've come up with something eventually, but I figure if someone else has already thought of it...

I've gone to Home Depot and rummaged through the plumbing section. A pipe plug has a square head that fits into that recess and it can be held using a visegrips.

I used a 1/8" thick piece of metal and fitted it so that it went in diagonally. Hold it with some Vise-grips and it should work. You may also be able to find a large square head bolt at the hardware store.
