Where is most cost effective for air pump? 850 1997

I checked Groton, they aren't the best price. But I'm seeing prices of $300+ for the pump. Is that what they cost? I may have to do the VW thing. I need a drivers side mirror as well. Don't need the valve, have one.

Where do you drill the drain holes on the air pump? I'm going to attempt reworking the old one.

Just for reference info:

But, if there is water in the air pump, the SAS valve may no longer be closing and in need of replacement.

Bottom dead center and the other about 4 o'clock, looking from behind or wheel well. 1/8inch is fine.

If your work bench is warm, I suggest taking the pump out and disassembling it. It could be that the bearings are in need of some nice grease and the housing in need of a couple of drain holes.
If you go the VW route, you will need to salvage the housing from the Volvo part anyway.

What is wrong with the rearview mirror? Erievovo sells them. If it is just the glass, it pops off and new glass can be pushed in.

Pickup going the other way, his mirror hit mine and removed it down to the big spring.

May try the air pump fix. Thanks.

Bought the mirror from Erie Volvo. Thanks again.

They are not cheap for a factory Pierburg, which is the only thing that I see offered from my vendors. Best price I can find is $260.00.

That is my price through a wholesale vendor that I spend 5K+ per month with. I can usually do much better on pricing but some things, like that air pump, there just is no room for mark up from the manufacturer so there is no deal on them.

If I understand you correctly, that won't help me, true?
