Programmable features - is this dealer only? (2001 V70) V70-XC70

I would like to change the time and temperature on my V70 (mil. time and Celcius). I also believe the daytime running lights can be enabled.

Based on the manual this is done by the dealer via programming.

Two questions:

1. Does anyone know if there a piece of software/hardware that I can use to do this myself?

2. Do dealers charge for these programming requests?

Thank you,
Yuri

I just did that for my 1998, pushed the two little black buttons and now I have Celcius in the winter. -1C in my garage and -13C to the grocery store.

The new and "improved" cars require a dealer to change it. And a dealer will charge 1 hour of labor to "down load" the software. What a bunch of crap!

Call Volvo's 800 number and complain. They keep a record of the complaints, or they should.
