2001 V70 - Is Radio Anti-Theft? V70-XC70

The packet for my 2001 V70 has a card where a security code is usually written, but it is blank. (My 850 had this card with a code).

The manual does not mention anything about anti-theft feature, and nothing is written on the radio itself.

So does it need a security code?

If it is the model 816 radio, it does need a code. You'll have to ask a Volvo dealer to retrieve it.

        2001 V70 - Is Radio Anti-Theft? NO! V70-XC70

I did get to the dealer, they printed out options for my V70 (by VIN number) and radio code is not listed, which, they told me, meant the radio is not anti-theft.
