Help replacing coolant reservoir 850 1995

Can someone walk me through the steps of replacing the reservoir tank and it's hoses?

My original is leaking from the broken top hose connection, so I've bought all new parts (cap, tank, and two hoses).
This seems to be a fairly straightforward job, but I haven't seen any reference to its replacement online or in the Haynes manual.

How did you get the coolant out of the tank? did you reuse the hose fittings?

thanks

Easy Job. I jsut did mine on my 850 with 305k on it because the plastic had cracks where the hoses attach. I just sucked out the coolant with a turkey baster, disconnected the hoses from the overflow tank and took out the coolant level sensor (just take note of how it came out and it can be a pain putting back in the new tank as it is hard to get enough pressure with your fingers to press it back in). I didn't bother replacing the hoses as they looked fine. Re-attach the hoses( i added a little Rutland high temp silicone to help seal ) and re-attach the sensor and re-filled. Not a bad job at all.

Go back to the Haynes manual and drain about a litre off the radiator first to bring the level down.

Sorry, my original reply was a bit rushed. Not changed one before but it strikes me as an easy job (or should be). If the fixings are the type that you screw on you should be ok to reuse. If you have any kind of plastic clips or spring loaded ones then replace them. The reservoir itself just lifts out of its mount, tough i have not followed the pipes through to their other end to see how easy access is.

Dont forget your antifreeze and if you are feeling brave now may be the time to renew the coolant. Haynes manual says it all on that one, i followed it the weekend when i replaced the Timing belt, water pump etc

        Good luck
