I have a 2004 V70 & need to get the sterring wheel off. I have the instructions for removing the airbag. I assume I then unscrew the large nut & pull the wheel off the splined shaft.

So, the question..... Does this removal require a puller? I don't see any feature in the wheel where a puller might grab hold.

One other small question... What size wrench is needed to get the nut off?

    No need for a puller. BE SURE TO DISCONECT THE BATTERY FIRST! Center bolt is 18mm, then just jiggle the wheel a bit and it pops off. Be sure to lock the contact reel before removing the wheel.

    Why do you need to get the steering wheel off?

    Puller is not necessary, once you get the bag out of the way just shoot the bolt out of the center and the wheel should pull right off of the splined shaft that it is on.
