Directions to remove V70 rear driveshaftm PLEASE V70-XC70 1999

I need to get my driveline rebuilt. Is there anything I need to know to remove the driveline to the rear? Special tools? Do one thing before the other? I just don't want to get stuck with a lack of tools. [don't have many]
Thanks, Glenn

The tools are standard wrenches/sockets, except for the forward connection which has torx connectors. Just hop underneath and check it out first. Be careful, the shaft is fairly heavy.
Some of the bolts are of different weights, to keep the shaft balanced, so mark them so they go back in the same place they came out of.
Your car will be just a normal FWD without the shaft, if you wish to drive in that configuration.

    The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are a 95 854T and a 98 V70R :)

I am confused since the V70 is a front wheel drive [unless you have an AWD model]

Yes the V70 is FWD and RWD too! I figured most people would know I was talking about a AWD because a front wheel drive would not have a rear driveline. :)
