855 Turbo misses when floored 850 1995

My '95 wagon misses (more like it lurches and almost stalls) when floored. If the gas is applied smoothly through the turbo range, then there's no miss and it is happy. But I'm shying away from situations like passing, and speedy onramps because of this. Otherwise it drives fine and very smooth.

Recently replaced plugs, cap, rotor, wires, filters.

What might cause this? pressure lines, turbo?
Thanks
Don

Had this exact same problem on my 740 turbo. I had bought cheap plug wires that didn't fit properly into the distributor holes. They created a gap between the end of the wire and the cap. This extra gap weakened the spark but it only caused a problem when I jumped on the turbo. Like you I could easily run the engine up to over 4k rpms unless I tried to use the turbo then it would miss horribly. Check the plug wires, make sure the plugs are the correct type and the distributor is attached properly.

Check the gap on the spark plugs. Also check your air filter. You are getting too much gas and not enough air. It could be that there is an air leak in the intercooler hose, so check any and all clamps you may have loosened when you replaced the cap.

Yeah, Klaus, my intuition says it's a unconnected or bad hose. I'll go thru it. Thanks.

      Air filter is near perfect.
(All the new parts were Volvo parts, plugs were for turbo model and gapped correctly. But thanks for your suggestion FIXIT2003).
