2004 2.5t S80 possible purchase S80

I was planning on buying a 2004 S80 2.5 Volvo from a small dealer, they have it listed as a 2.9 non turb but when I red under hood the engine displacement it said 2.5?

This is a light turbo right. 2004 2.5T AWD? It says AWD on the back. Xenon lights etc.

I do alot of repairs myself, so my question is, can most of the parts be changed without going to Dealer? I have been reading that parts need to be synced with computer to recognize change has been made.

Please let me know your thoughts, is this a good reliable car?

Bobby

94 850 Volvo Turbo.

Check under the hood again. The 5 cylinder version is a better bet than the 6. This is what a Volvo mechanic told me. Do believe this is the high pressure version, but not certain. As far as needing the dealer for reprogramming some replacement items, that is true. There is still a lot of work you can do on this car and if it is the S80 it has a lot of room the S60 does not have.

    Good luck,

    dick
