Problems solved, Remanufactured ABS from BBA Reman

Finally got a rebuilt ABS Module from:
www.bba-reman.com

$99 + $20 shipping = $119 (they ship the reman unit, you send your old unit back)
Warranty for life.

It is cheaper if you send your old unit 1st, they repair it, and send your very same unit back for $69 + $20 shipping. But you will be driving with speedometer etc.

98 V70 Lights Mystery :'Tracs Off' & 'ABS' V70-XC70 1998

I have a 98 V70R. Your lights are caused by a bad ABS module. I have already had mine replaced once, and at 127,000 plus miles the second one has now gone bad. This time I will just leave it, although I will have to remember to pulse the brakes myself on wet or otherwise slippery pavement.

UPDATE re ABS Module

UPDATE re ABS Module.

- Took ABS Module out, check circuitboard, no obvious dry joints, but I re-soldered all the joints shown in the picture at:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=7414&highlight=abs+ecu+fix&page=4

- ABS/TRACS lights went off for a few hours and back on.....Hmmmmmm

- Fed up, so ordered a rebuilt unit from BBA for $99 + shipping (waranteed as long as you own the car):
http://stores.ebay.com/BBA-Remanufacturing-Inc

The problem with soldering all these joints (without knowing they are dry or not) is that it is a random approach and there is no waranty it will work!!!
At least the rebuilt is $99+$20....MUCH cheaper than dealer ($550!!!!).

DIY...Info

I found out that the problem is in "dry" solder joints.
A DIY project:

Does anyone have step-by-step DIY instructions with pictures?

TIA

The OBD will not pick up that, most likely cause of failure is the module itself, do a search for vitor (victor maybe) rocha, he fixes them up for good for 125 or so, versus delaer labor and parts at 600+.
