We have an AWD 2004 Volvo V70 R. We have a bent drive shaft and need to repair it or replace it. Does anyone have any sources to purchase a replacement part, or where we can have it repaired, or advice on how to repair it ourselves other than the dealership? We live in south Florida. If you have advice please reply asap.

Also check the thread in volvospeed (or maybe swedespeed) about removal of the bracket that damages the shaft on the 2004 R's. I don't have an R but I remember seeing it, a few people not very happy.

If you are concerned about the axel shafts, contact fcpgoton. If their online catalogue doesn't have it you can call for more information. They are most helpful.

I think he's talking about the propeller shaft, I just changed mine on the 98 AWD, because....tada! it was bent, who knows what happens with those misterious creatures
