My am looking to purchase a 1997 850GLT with 151,000 miles on it. It has a new radiator, brakes and battery and top engine mount. What are the trouble spots on these that I should check before purchase?

Is the flame trap clean? Are the the hoses connected to it clear. If not, check the rear main engine seal (rms) for oil leaks. Even if they are clean, still check the rms for leaks. This can be a $$$ repair if unless you change your oil often and keep those lines and the flame trap clean.

The other engine/tranny mounts, front suspension bits, shocks/struts, evaporator if you want AC, heater core, and lots of little bits.

Please answer, we need to know if the advice is good or bad. The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are 2 turbos :)
