Hi im have a problem with my secondairy air injection pump. it died last month and i cant really afford to put a new one in it. does anyone know how to bypass it or a way to fix my old one so it can pass inspection this month?

If the secondary air injection system is not functioning you won't get OBD-2 "emission testing readiness" status. Hence, bypassing will not help.
Search brickboard and volvospeed archives for information as the air injection system failure is quite common.
In my case, the code set up in winter and the pump was frozen. All it took was; removal of the pump, thawing, test run, drilling a drain hole in the lowest point of the scroll (for future drainage), and replacing the control valve as it was not closing.
