2001 transmission replacement? V70-XC70 2001

Our 2001 XC with 102,000 miles had the orginal transmission replaced on warranty 5 years ago at 30,000 miles. Now it is in need of yet another transmission as it is pretty much doing the same thing it did 5 years ago. This doesn't seem right for a Volvo to be in need of it's 3rd transmission with barely 100,000 miles on it.
Has anybody else run into something like this? Has there been any kind of recall that I might not know about?

If anyone can shed any light on this, I'd be very grateful.

    What is the tranny doing/not doing? Are there any trouble codes with this?

    It is NOT normal to get a new tranny, muchless 2.

    Please answer, we need to know if the advice is good or bad. The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are 2 turbos :)
