Smoke when starting .. S70 1998

Sometimes when I initially start the engine, there is a puff of smoke about the density of cigar or cigarette that comes out of the muffler. It does not occur all the time. Sometimes it occurs even after I have driven the care for a while as well as in hot weather. Has anyone seen this?

    How many miles are on the car? My first thought is that that it could be valve seals allowing oil to seep into the combustion chambers, or maybe even rings letting oil past.
