my rear bumper sags about an inch.. i assume this is the result of getting rear-ended at some point... the bumper feels as if it's solidly in place.. is there any thing i can do to get it back into place? ..does it just need to be replaced?

    Depending on the year, the rear bumper is made up of several parts. The only way to find out why it is sagging is to remove the bumper cover and inspect the parts.

      eh.. thanks.. somewhat helpful.. i guess i was assuming there was a quick fix for this since it seems to be a fairly common problem.. at least, here in the sf bay area--i've seen this on a lot of V70's ...the rear bumper is about an inch lower than it should be...

        Probably caused by SUVs parallel parking by ear :)
