Fluid leak in XC70 V70-XC70 2003

Hi,
While refueling my wife`s 03 XC70 tonite I noticed a steady drip onto the pavement & a fairly sizeable pool forming. The drip seemed to be from the rear of the engine compartment & my first thought was "Yikes! RMS" but after moving the car I checked the fluid & it`s definitely not oil. It seemd to be somewhat "watery" & a litle sticky but colorless unlike coolant.
Could it be related to the A/C? It`s been very hot here so the A/C has been on constantly when she`s been driving & I know from our 850 that Volvo A/C can be problematic.
The car is still under warranty so hope this problem will be covered.
All advice appreciated!
Cheers!
Rich

Just your AC drain. Be thankful your AC works!

From what you describe, it's the drain from the AC system and a normal condition.
To be sure, check the condition on a clean area of your drive. Dip a paper towel in the fluid, is it cololess (?) and let the towel dry. If the towel shows no serious residual stain ..... it water from the AC drain.

Followup on 'Fluid leak' from XC70 V70-XC70 2003

      Art,
      Thanks for your reply.
I put a piece of cardboard under the car last nite & checked this am. All that appears this am is what looks like to be a water stain. This would confirm your diagnosis of normal AC operation as there is nothing "oily" or anything else for that matter about the stain on the cardboard.
      Thanks!
      Rich
