Why is is that all the fuel/emissions valves are so expensive? It is almost like "if we can't get $100 for a valve, why bother?"

I guess I have been living in a sheltered "my car has less than 100K miles on it" world for too long. I am just shocked that an EGR, FPR, Purge valve, etc are all $100 or more. Yikes.

    Less than $100 if they are made in China or Bangladesh :)
