Pin out for oxygen sensor 850 1996

I am replacing my front oxygen sensor on my B5252FS engine. The existing sensor has four wires, red, white, yellow and black. The sensor is a NTK A4R, The replacement is a generic bosch. Can anyone identify, which two wires are the heater, which is the signal and which is the ground. I have tried netering the sensor, but ALL wires are open? I cannot meter out the connector on the car as it is not in my driveway. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I ahte it when a simple task turs into a days project!!

Bosch generic O2 sensor did not work! 850 1996

I ended up having to get the Volvo specific O2 sensor. The mechanic also ordered the Bosch specific O2 sensor and it also was incorrect. We had to get the Volvo specific sensor with the red wire!

    Success I hope 850 1996

I was able to look at my son's 1996 Volvo 850 today.

The heater wires are on pins 1&2, the red and white wires

I am assuming that the black wire on pin 3 is the signal wire and the Yellow wire on pin 4 is the ground, although there is no continuity to Gnd on pin 4.

I'll find out tomorrow or Tuesday when it gets installed!
