XC70 auto transmission/trailering--->transmission cooler needed? V70-XC70 2002

I have 2002 XC70 w/automatic transmission and would like to tow trailer n boat, about 1000 lbs. hilly terrain. bad plan? should I obtain transmission cooler? if so, recommendation? self install. dealer?

The tranny already has a cooler, in the radiator. You could add another if you were like Breadman and towed a trailer for a living.
For the occasional tow, do like the manual says, downshift to 3rd on long up hill grades. Heck, why not just drive in third? You milage won't suffer and your engine/tranny combination will be much happier!
