I have two unique fastener (bolts heads) which are attached to my mass air flow meter. It is not a torx, or external star where can I purchased this tool?

It is a torx, but one with a center post so people can't mess with them. Just go to your local hardware store and look for a torx with a hole in the center.

They have a name such as a secure or safety torx.

This fastener does not have a center post. The bolt has a hole in the center & outside the hole is a "swirl" pattern covering the head. I borrowed a crafstman #947486 screwdriver set with tamper proof/security bits; torx, fraction hex, metric hex, spanner bits, triwing, torqset, and no luck. Thanks for any info.

I have never seent the tool use to install those but if you look at them you can see that they are a one way deal. I have always simply used a pair of pliers to remove them, they come out pretty easy.

Thanks, the pliers did the trick. I tried clean the filment, not a wire, ran a little longer 5-7 sseconds. Cleared codes kept getting 1-2-1 maf sensor signal. Now I'm off to find a salvage one ("all cars run on used parts")or finance a new one. Thanks again.
